Edit Menu:

.fi
The Edit menu commands operate on the shapes you create and use in your images. Shapes are visible only while the Shapes tool window is open. Alias Eclipse hides the shapes when you close the window unless you have rendered them to the image canvas.

.nf
Selecting Shapes:

.fi
To select a shape, simply point to it and click MB1. Alias Eclipse highlights and outlines the shape with a bounding box. The bounding box has handles at each corner and the middle of each side that you use to scale the shape.

To select multiple shapes, hold down the Shift key as you select. To cancel a selection, click MB1 in free space.

.nf
Moving Shapes:

.fi
To move a shape, move the cursor inside the shape, press and hold MB1, and then drag the shape around the image. When the shape is where you want it, release MB1.

.nf
Scaling Shapes:

.fi
Point to one of the handles, press and hold MB1, and drag the handle. The corner handles size the shape proportionally; the middle handles scale the shape vertically or horizontally.

.nf
Undo:

.fi
The Undo command cancels the last editing action you performed on a shape and restores the shape to its state before the action. The Undo command works on all shape editing and filling actions, including all the tools and commands you access through the Shapes tool window. There is no limit to the number of actions or steps you can undo; you can undo every editing action you performed since you first opened the image.

To use the command, simply select Undo from the Edit menu.

.nf
Redo:

.fi
You use the Redo command to repeat an editing action that you have undone. To use the command, simply select Redo from the Edit menu.

.nf
Copy:

.fi
Use the Copy command to copy a selected shape or shapes. Alias Eclipse stores only one copied shape (or shapes) at a time. If you copy a second shape, it overwrites the first shape.

1. First select the shape or shapes you want.

2. Select Copy from the Edit menu.

.nf
Paste:

.fi
Use the Paste command to paste a copied shape or shapes into the current image. You can paste a copied shape as often as you like.

1. Select Paste from the Edit menu.

Alias Eclipse displays a rectangular frame in the image area that represents the copied shape. The frame follows the cursor.

2. Use the mouse to position the frame where you want it.

3. Click MB1 to paste the copied shape into the image.

.nf
SelectAll:

.fi
Use the SelectAll command to have Alias Eclipse select all the shapes in your image. The command selects all the shapes even if they are not currently visible in the image area. To use the command, simply select SelectAll from the Edit menu. Alias Eclipse selects and highlights all the shapes in the image.
