5D.Clouds

PURPOSE
Generates cloud-like textures.

Tip: Once you have found a cloud pattern and coloring you want, the Seethe control will evolve the clouds over time. You do NOT have to animate this value for the clouds to change from frame to frame at a constant rate. The higher the value the faster the evolution will be.

INPUT CLIP
Background: the clip over which clouds are to appear.

GEOMETRY
XY Move (Default: 0.0)
Translates the cloudscape in X and Y.

XY Scale (Min: 0.01 Max: 10000.0 Default: 100.0)
Scales the cloudscape in X and Y.

Rotate (Min: 0.0 Max: 360.0 Default: 0.0)
Rotation of the cloudscape in degrees about the image center.

APPEARANCE
Cloudiness (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 29.4)
Controls how cloudy the sky is.

Seethe (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 3.0)
Controls how quickly clouds well up and fade as time passes (i.e. frames are generated).

Detail (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 50.0)
Maximum fineness of features seen in the cloud texture.

Maximum Dense (Min: 0.0 Max: 150.0 Default: 90.0)
Sets the maximum density of the cloudscape.

CORE
Color Red/Green/Blue (Default: white)
Color of the core ( or densest ) part of the clouds.

Start Dense (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 69.0)
Sets the density at which pure core color is to start being used.

EDGE
Color Red/Green/Blue (Default: grey)
Color of the edges( or thinnest ) part of the clouds.

End Dense (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 22.0)
Sets the density at which the pure edge color is to finish being used. Densities between End and Start will get some (non-linear) interpolation of these colors in the Unlit shading mode.

3D
Depth (Min: 0.0 Max: 10.0 Default: 1.0)
Scales the cloud density to a value used as the height of a surface, allowing the result to be shaded using a simple lighting model.

Light XYZ position (Default: bottom left)
The location of the light source.

Light Brightness (Default: 0.0)
With Light Bright greater than 0.0 the cloud is lit by the light source. Light Bright controls how cloud densities are turned into image colours when lit. The cloud is lit at its edges by a light source (the cloud density is used to come up with a surface that can be shaded). In this case, the result depends on the core colour, the light colour and the depth scale (see above).

Red/Green/Blue (Default: white )
The light colour.

PATTERNS
Seed (Min: 1.0 Max: 999999 Default: 995)
Change the seed to get a new cloud pattern.
