INPUT CLIPS
Background: the clip to draw the fireball on.
Matte: composites specific areas of the effect over the background clip.
WHERE
XY (Default: right of center)
Location of the fireball.
BALL
Radius (Min: 0.0 Max: 5000.0 Default: 50.0)
The size of the ball.
Density (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 40.0)
The overall opacity of the flames.
Flicker (Min 0.0 Max 100.0 Default 40.0)
The speed of the central flames flicker.
FLARE
Flicker (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 40.0)
The speed of the flare flicker (if any).
Number (Min: 0 Max: 1000 Default: 0)
How many flares the fireball can have.
Size (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 2.0)
The extent of the flares.
TAIL
Length (Min: 0.0 Max: 500.0 Default: 55.0)
The length of the tail.
Angle (Min: -5000.0 Max: 5000.0 Default: 0.0)
The tail direction.
TEXTURE
Edge Softness (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 50.0)
Softens the edges of the fireball and flares.
Turbulence (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 40.0)
Turbulence disturbs the flames in the fireball; at 0.0 a smooth fireball, distorting the
ball as it increases.
Frequency 1 (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 30.0)
Frequency 2 (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 70.0)
Define the internal features of the turbulence of the flames. The ratio of the two
frequencies creates the structure combined with the turbulence value. Swapping frequency
values results in the same flame patterns.
Tip: If the turbulence is low and the both frequencies are low the flames are broad
and sweeping; with the turbulence high and both frequencies high the flames are finely
detailed. As the frequencies become closer together the detailing gets less.
Turbulence or Noise (Default: Turbulence)
A choice of flame structuring; Turbulence=0, Noise=1.
Seed (Min: 0 Max: 9999999 Default: 1000)
Changing the seed creates a completely new fireball structure.
MATTE
Use (Default: Off)
Off=0: the matte clip is ignored.
On=1: where it is black you will see the background and where white
the fireball.
Invert (Default: Off)
This control only takes effect if Use Matte is on.
Off=0: the matte is used as is.
On=1: the effect of black->white is reversed.
HEART/MIDDLE/EDGE
The fireball has three colour regions; heart, at the center; middle and edge.
Red/Green/Blue (Default: heart=white middle=yellow edge=red)
Default fireball colours.
Proportion (Min 0.0 Max 100.0 Default 50.0)
The distribution of the fireball colours can be weighted. With all three at 50.0
the three colours are distributed evenly throughout the fireball.
The ratio of the three numbers will change the balance of distribution.
e.g. to extend the core colour, increase Proportion of the heart colour.
