INPUT CLIPS
Front to Glow: object(s) to be glowed. Depending on selected options this image may
be used in various ways. See below.
Background: depending on options this image may or may not be used.
Mattes of Glow: mattte clip of the object(s) to be glowed.
If no matte images are available, the same clip as is used for (1) can be used if the
object(s) are brightish and against black.
The extent of the glow is found by processing the matte image. This glow is then colored using two colors - the core color which is used close to the object(s) and the edge color which takes over towards the edge of the glowing region. After the colored glowing regions are found, they can be composited under the object to be glowed, on top of the object, or the object can be omitted entirely, leaving just its glow. This glowing image can optionally be composited or added to the background image. It is also possible to write out an image, which can be used later as a matte for the glowing image.
Radius (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 5.0)
Controls how far the glow extends from the edges of a glowing object.
Brightness (Min: 0.0 Max: 50.0 Default: 1.0)
Controls the overall brightness and density of the glow. It can be used to thicken up very
thin glows around small objects, for example.
EDGES
Red/Green/Blue (Default: yellow)
Color to be used near the edges of the glowing regions.
CORE
Red/Green/Blue (Default: red)
Color to be used in the core of the glowing regions.
BIAS
Minimum (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 0.0)
Maximum (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 100.0)
The balance between Min and Max controls how quickly and where the core
color transforms into the edge color. The glow region brightness is used to determine the
color. Brightnesses below Min get the edge color, while those above Max get the core
color. Between min and max, the two colors are mixed smoothly using a smooth step
(Hermite) interpolation.
Composite By (Default: Glow Only)
Glow Only=0: creates only the glowing image.
Composite Over Clip2=1: the glow is composited over the background.
Add to Clip2=3: the glow is added to the background.
Matte Only (Default: Off)
Off=0:: creates the image as specified by CompBy and GloType.
On=1: outputs the matte of the glow.
Glow Type (Default: Glow Only )
Glow Only=0: creates only the glowing image.
Composite Over Clip2=1: the glow is composited over the background.
Composite Under Clip2=3: the glow is composited behind the background.
