Using Morph Groups
If you've been working through these examples you
will have come across 2 ways of creating morph groups. Either way is valid.
- either set the desired group number, then draw curves. The curves will be added to the
current group.
- or if you have already drawn the curve, set the desired group number, select the curve,
by clicking on a point in it, and click on picked to group.
The second method allows you to re-structure the group lists at any time. However
each curve can only belong to one group.
The uses of Groups:
- parts of the image can move at different rates at different times. Controlled by
the Warp G0->6 frac
- parts of the image can mix at different rates at different times. Controlled by
the Mix G0->6. When the time line associated with each group is a 0.0
the color will be the s-image, when at 1.0, the d-image.
- regions of the image around selected curves can be fixed, so they do not move.
Controlled by the Width G0->6 value.
You can check easily which curve is in what group.
- the current group of curves is drawn with a solid line, all others are dotted.
- change the value of group number to see which is which.
