5D.Stars

PURPOSE
Generates 'star burst' effects around bright pixels in a clip. This is not intended to simulate any natural process, but simply to be an appealing effect.

INPUT CLIPS
Star Location: the clip (typically of white/colored dots) indicating where starbursts should appear.
Background: the clip over which the starbursts should appear.

TRACKING
Shift XY (Default: 0.0)
Specifies the XY component of a translation applied to the starburst control image before it is used.

COLOUR
Red/Green/Blue (Default: yellow)
The color to be used for the starbursts if Defined is used.

Use Colours (Default: Defined)
The star color can be any of these sources:
Defined=0: as defined by the RGB values.
Clip Colors=1: uses the input image color found where the star is to be made.
Random Colors=2: picks a random color biased towards the defined color.

STYLE
Size (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 2.0)
How big the stars are.

Brightness (Min: 0.0 Max: 50.0 Default: 2.0)
How bright the stars are.

Angle (Min: -180.0 Max: 180.0 Default: 0.0)
Rotation of the stars.

Skip (Min: 1 Max: 20 Default: 4)
The lower this value, the more starbursts are likely to appear. As the Star location clip is scanned, pixels are 'skipped'; thus reducing the chance of a star being drawn.

Twinkle (Default: Off)
Twinkle will not effect size or angle. Use Randomise for this.
Off=0: the stars will appear in the same location from frame to frame.
On=1: the stars turn on and off (twinkle) over a sequence of output frames.

Randomise (Default: On)
Off=0: the stars have their set size and orientation.
On=1: a random selection of star sizes and angles is chosen.

Comp By (Default: Composite)
Composite=0: the stars are composited into the scene.
Add=1: the stars are added into the scene.

ROI
Only pixels within the defined region will be considered for stars.

XY Minimum and XY Maximum (Default: all the image)
Define the ROI, or where stars could be found.

THRESHOLDING
High Threshold (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 100.0)
Low Threshold (Min: 0.0 Max: 100.0 Default: 97.0)
Stars are only made when the intensity of the Star Location clip is within these bounds.
