The Softimage Setup program guides you through the process of installing and setting up your Softimage product as easily as possible. Your Softimage product software uses FLEXlm version 6.1f as the licensing software. You can install your Softimage product and the licensing software separately or together.
After you have placed the Softimage product CD in the CD-ROM drive and started the Setup program, two options are displayed. Choose the one you want to do:
· To install the Softimage product, select Installation.
If you are designating the computer as a license server, you can continue with the licensing after all the software files are installed by selecting Licensing from the first screen.
· To install the licensing software, select Licensing. This leads you directly to the installation of the FLEXlm components.
Note: The FLEXlm license server components can only be installed under Windows or IRIX. If you are using SOFTIMAGE|3D under Linux, you must use a Windows or IRIX computer on the network as your license server.
