time curve submenu

in input box

Purpose
To display and/or change the numerical value of the incoming derivative (displayed by an arrow) of the currently active control point.

Usage
To change the value, click the in data input box to activate it (red outline). The following prompt will be displayed:

In response to this prompt enter a value for the incoming derivative of the currently active control point.

Comments
If this value is zero, the time curve arrives at the point horizontally (no motion). If the value is negative, the time curve arrives at the point from above the horizontal (down). If the value is positive, the time curve arrives at the point from below the horizontal (up). If the current control point is continuous, the value in the out data input box will be linked to the value of the incoming derivative in such a way that the time curve will run smoothly through the control point. Event points can be changed only if the unlock toggle button is active.
