Purpose
To display or change the specular index for the current attribute.
Usage
Click the index box to activate it (red outline). The following
will appear:
![]()
In response to this prompt, type the new value for the specular index.
Press <enter> to confirm. If you type a '?' followed by
<enter>, the selection submenu will be displayed where you
can make
your selection from the available file maps for the specular index.
Comments
The specular index determines the size of the highlight on the surface
of
an object. A low value (e.g., 10) will give a large highlight, while
a
high value (e.g., 150) will give a small highlight. In general do
not use
vaues lower than 2. Any value map can be entered in response to the
prompt
instead of a single numerical value.
