show 3d


Purpose
To view 3D images rendered with render 3d.

Usage
Click the show 3d button to activate it, the 3D RaySketch tool will start in which you can view and paint the 3D image.

The viewer can be controlled using the mouse and keyboard.

Mouse

Left mouse button: paint on the 3D image

Middle mouse button:

General

	 +/- 		increase/decrease render quality
	 q 		quit
	 w		write painting to 'saved.vox'
	 o		switch to object manipulation mode
	 l 		switch to light manipulation mode
	 i		switch to camera manipulation mode
	 space		reset camera

Paint

	 c 		toggle color picker on/off
	 b 		decrease brush size
	 <Shift> b	increase brush size

Render

  	 a 		toggle ambient on/off
  	 d 		toggle diffuse on/off
  	 s 		toggle shadows on/off
  	 h 		toggle specular highlight on/off
  	 <Alt>   h	increase specular index
  	 <Ctrl>  h	decrease specular index
  	 r 		increase reflection depth
  	 <Shift> r	decrease reflection depth
  	 t 		increase transparency depth
  	 <Shift> t	decrease transparency depth
  	 <Alt>   t	increase refraction index
  	 <Ctrl>  t	decrease refraction index

Comments
The 3D raysketch tool allows you to paint your 3D image. There is no way you can use the painted result in 3DGO (yet).

There's also a Windows NT version on the CD with some sample 3D images. Look in the directory named nt on your CD.
