Comments
In general you can regard the way files are stored in the UNIX environment as a `tree' in which you can browse up and down. If you double click on a directory name you go one directory down in the tree. The files contained in that directory are shown. If you double click on the two dots [..] you go one directory up in the tree. If you select directory the listbox displays the current project directory. (also what you see by default after starting the ProjectManager). If you double click on the [..] you will see all other project directories. Double clicking on one of the names (xxx_prj) would have the same result as selecting a new project in the change project dialogue box.
At the bottom left and right are listboxes that display the contents of the selected directories. In the source directory a list is shown of the files (with file size in bytes) and directories (with the tag `directory') in the current directory. In general the bottom part of the interface is important when you want to convert images as can be done with the command line utility `gig_conv'.
Selecting a file in a listbox is done by clicking with the left mouse button on a file name. Selecting subsequent files is done by selecting the first file and while holding the left mouse button down move the mouse down the listbox. Another way (of selecting for example a whole lot of animation files) is done by selecting the first file. Use the scrollbar to move to the last file that you want to select. Select this last file with a left mouse click while holding the Shift button down.
Using the pattern box
The pattern box can be convenient in case a set of animation files have to be selected. Pattern matching follows the same rules as for regular expressions.
Select the input box at the bottom of the source listbox, type an expression and press <enter>. Every file that matches the expression will be selected.
