Map Frame control bar

A map that is selected to be edited has the following elements in the Map Frame:
  • plug,
  • menu,
  • label,
  • switcher,
  • expand,
  • collapse, and
  • Parameters.

    plug

    Select this button in a Map Frame before pressing the map socket in a texture or map parameter . The Map Frame then disappears from the working area and the map is plugged into the parameter of the Texture Frame or Map Frame.

    menu

    This button displays the following menu list for actions that may be performed on the maps:
    save
    see save in Texture Frame section.

    save as
    see save as in Texture Frame section.

    add parameter
    see add parameter in Texture Frame section.

    expand
    see expand in Texture Frame section.

    collapse
    see collapse in Texture Frame section.

    transparency map
    When transparency map is selected, the map is used as background in the Preview Window. This is useful when evaluating transparency or refraction in textures. Transparency maps are usually color file maps.

    reflection map
    When reflection map is selected, the map is used as environment in the Preview Window. This is useful when evaluating reflection in textures. Reflection maps are usually color file maps.

    remove
    See remove in Texture Frame section.

    Note that cleanup is no longer an action item in the menu list.

    label

    switcher

    expand
