transform menu

x-y-z size

Purpose
To transform the currently active part of the tree or axes (when move axes or move ani ax is activated) by changing its size along any one of three specified axes.

Usage
Click the x-y-z size button to activate it. By holding the middle mouse button down while moving the mouse, the currently active part of the tree will change size along the three axes independently from each other, until you press the left mouse button (right mouse button will cancel the last transformation). If the keyboard toggle button is active, you must enter numerical values to perform the size change. You will then see the following prompt in the status area:
x?

In response to this prompt, enter the size you want the currently active part of the tree to become in relation to the current size along the x axis. If you do not want to change the x size press <enter> to cancel. Respond in the same way to the y and z prompts.

Comments
When no axis is active, transformations are relative to the current window.
When global or local axis is active, transformations are relative to the corresponding axis:
to transform in the y-z plane, activate cam1
to transform in the x-y plane, activate cam2
to transform in the z-x plane, activate cam3
If you want to size only along one axis with the mouse, use the x-y-z size button in conjunction with the xy toggle button. When you want to size equally along two axes, switch the xy toggle to x=y. When show size is activated, the absolute size of the object may also be changed by entering numerical values in the size x, y, and z input boxes in the status area.
